Recently, I've been experimenting with new beauty products. I used to be so worried with how my skin would react to new products and I never wanted to upset my skin. Since venturing out of my skincare comfort zone, my skin has never been clearer which has boosted my confidence. No make up days are more regular than make up days now! My routine is split into day and night with the occasional use of face masks and retinol when I feel my skin needs a boost. Everyones skin is different so your routine may differ from mine but if you're looking to switch up your products or try something new, I live by these products!

For me, moisturising is key after a warm shower in the morning. I use Aveeno Positive Radiant Daily Moisturiser which turned out to be one of my favourite buys after running out of my original moisturiser whilst in California. I knew I didn't want to spend a lot on a moisturiser I hadn't used before but I still wanted it to be effective. So after searching on Pinterest for the best drugstore moisturiser, Aveeno was popping up everywhere and now I can see why! It soaks into your skin instantly making it smooth without leaving an oily residue like some moisturisers. It has become the perfect base coat for my make up and a daily essential with SPF 15 protecting my skin from the sun.

Before bed, I cleanse, tone and moisturise religiously. I start with the Mario Badescu Seasweed Cleansing Soap which is my favourite product of all. Within a week of using this product my blemishes cleared up and my pours had noticeable reduced in size. I then tone using Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner to even my complexion and remove dead skin and finish as I started the day with Aveeno moisturiser. Once a week, I use Mario Badescu Botanical Exfoliating Scrub in the shower for a deeper cleanse. It's important not to over exfoliate which I've learned from experience. I used to exfoliate daily which made my skin overly clean resulting extremely oily skin - not cute!

For a little boost...

When my skin is looking tired or when I have break outs I like to give a little extra love! For break outs, I swear by retinol to reduce swelling and redness overnight. Shani Darden Retinol Reform will always be part of my beauty routine (Check out my post on this magical solution here). The Ordinary 2% Retinoid has a similar effect but at a more affordable price (£8...can you believe it?!). Retinol/retinoid tends to dry out my skin if I use it too often/too much so I try to only use it when I need it and the areas where I need it. Another Mario Badescu product (have you gathered I love this brand?) which I use all year round but especially in summer is the Aloe Herbs & Rosewater Facial Spray to keep my skin hydrated. I've also used this to set my make up which adds a dewy finish!

After a hard week I like to spend my Sunday evenings relaxing with a face mask on whilst listening music...bliss! I love the H&M face masks because they are affordable and they actually work. When buying these, I recommend to buy for your skin type for the best result! Glam Glow Supermud Clearing Treatment is another face mask to help clear up break outs. I like to use this product on the problem areas and occassionally all over to brighten and refresh my skin.

So I thought I'd tell you guys about a new skin product I've started using. It's called Lepleu skin and hair oil and it's amaaaazing! I have just recently added this to my daily skin routine (find full post here) because I like to change it up every now and again so that my skin doesn't become tolerant and always looks fresh.

I have combination/oily skin type so I'm usually wary about adding more oil to my face but with Lepleu although it's an oil once it's massaged in it becomes more smooth and not at all greasy. I applied it at night and in the morning when I woke up my skin was oil free making it extra smooth and bright.

Lepleu Skin and Hair oil uses a blend of Cacay oil and myrrh. I had never heard of Cacay oil but it contains 50% more vitamin E than Argon oil and 3 times more retinol than Rose Hip oil and as you all know i'm a huge fan of retinol after sharing one of my favourite products Retinol Reform by Shani Darden with you.

Everyone loves a multipurpose product to save some £££ and great news - Lepleu can also be used on the end of our hair! It works wonders for me and my Great Length hair extensions keeping the ends smooth as I tend to avoid conditioners and oils away from my bonds so they don't slide out.

The directions for use are simple: apply 3 drops to fingertips and massage into your skin in circular motions after cleansing. This is the last product I use on my skin as it takes a while to soak in.

To top it of this brand also has a nail and cuticle oil too! I know amazing right?! I tend to get shellac off and straight back on - it's a vicious circle! So my nails definitely need some TLC! The oil got rid of ridges on the surface from shellac which I absolutely hate. I keep this by my bed so I remember to use it every night.

If your interested in flawless skin, a smooth mane and a pristine manicure then the products can be purchased on theLepleu website here. Let me know if you have any questions!

It's essential to have glowing, healthy skin all year round. Here in Scotland, we go months without seeing any sun so I like to keep bronzed with self tan, supplements and highlighters for that summer glow!

This new product has got me so excited to be tanning on the beach in a bikini sipping on coconuts and cocktails! Fake Bake's newest product, the coconut tanning serum, is a mix of tan solution and coconut oil which makes for bronzing magic. It smells amazing unlike some self tanners and it goes on like moisturiser! I applied this with a tanning mitt which gave me a smooth, streekless finish. My skin looks naturally bronzed and soft to touch, I can't believe I didn't need to moisturise before!

What better way to relax after applying coconut tan than drinking a fresh coconut itself! This was such a cute surprise to find next to my goodies with straws and a coconut drill! No more sawing into coconuts...

I've used St Tropez Self Tan mousse for years now and it is still my favourite. I use this tan on a weekly basis although it's expensive to buy, I love the quality and it lasts forever! Another bonus, is that this tan is easy to remove which makes a huge difference. There's nothing worse than tan sticking to your skin! This large bottle is £31.00 and lasts me 1-2 months.

It's so important to exfoliate and moisture before applying self tan.  I like to exfoliate with an oil based shower gel and a rough cloth followed by moisturising with Vaseline's cocoa spray moisturiser. This spray is so easy to apply and it dries within seconds, which means you are ready to apply your tan straight after!

A few other products that give me that summer glow are pictured above. Soleil Tan De Chanel is my go to for a bronzed face. I usually contour with this cream but it can be applied all of your face for an instant tan. I also like to mix Benefit Sun Beam highlighter through my foundation during the warmer months for a glowy finish. This golden highlighter looks great with a real tan and totally complements beach blonde hair. Finally, my scent for Spring/Summer - Fan Di FENDI Eau de toilette which is light and fruity which I prefer to anything too musky in hot temperatures.

Recently, I've started taken supplements which benefit my skin, hair, nails and immune system. Vitamin D is produced when our skin is exposed to sunlight. As I live in Scotland, I feel it is necessary to get vitamin D from supplements due to the lack of sunshine! After trialling these for two weeks, I've seen a change in my skin. It looks brighter and feels smoother!

It's never too early to start preparing for summer, so I'm starting with sun kissed skin in spring! Next up, I'll be preparing and working for my perfect beach body!

After running out of this magical serum over the festive period, I'm excited to have my favourite product back in my routine. It was definitely the worst time of year to not have this! My skin was breaking out and drying up due to the freezing conditions.

I came across Retinol Reform by Shani Darden after seeing Rosie Huntington Whitely, Jessica Alba and Marianna Hewitt (one of my favourite beauty bloggers) raving about it. Three of the most beautiful influencers with flawless skin! They swear by Retinol Reform and so do I. Shani Darden offers a LED Light Facial to her clients (mostly celebrities) which includes a crazy and kind of creepy mask but it apparently works wonders! I wanna try!

Although, Retinol Reform is $95 (£65) per bottle, I've found it is totally worth it. The bottle is small, however you don't need a lot! One to two pumps is recommended, and this lasted me around 6 months!

This serum is perfect to brighten up your skin as well as reducing blemishes. When I have a break out, I apply this at night and by the next morning, the spot has almost vanished! It has also helped reduce acne scars from my teenage years. Overall, it leaves your skin with a smooth and fresh feel. I like to apply one pump of the serum after I have scrubbed and toned my face at night. Once it has set into my skin I apply moisturiser.
