For my first Thanksgiving my sister, Alana came out to join me. It was so nice to have a week off of school and also to learn how Thanksgiving works...kinda like Christmas but I'd say it was more extravagant! All of my friends were so excited and some even said they preferred it to Christmas! For me, this break was all about getting out of dorms (ugh)  to explore and also watch movies in sweats in a giant hotel bed. I miss being able to watch movies from my bed, I totally take that for grated!

I made an itinerary for the week to squeeze in as many sights, adventures and food spots for Alana as possible. It was a busy week but we ticked so much off the bucket list and even made time for those essential holiday naps! After telling Alana all about Huntington Beach over Facetime for months, that was our first stop. We lunched at Lemonade and shopped around taking it slow because Alana was feeling the jet lag! There's no better place to chill than at the beach.

Slip dresses have become a staple in my wardrobe for the warmer weather. I used to only see them as evening wear but now I much prefer dressing them down with sneaks and a denim shirt for a more casual look. Pairing any look up with sneakers instantly creates an effortless style like my Vans did here. I never in a million years  thought I would like Vans never mind have a pair but after seeing other bloggers styling them up I gave in and now I can't take them off!
