AMSTERDAM'S CALLING

This week has been all about coordinating my looks for a city break in Amsterdam this Friday! I've never been before so I can't wait to explore the city and do all of the typical tourist things whilst in Amsterdam. It's going to be all fun and drinks as it's a hen weekend! We have loads planned and I'll obviously take you all with me daily on snapchat (@simonemcdowall) and Instagram (@shebysmd). I can just tell its going to be a over indulgent weekend as I've already found cute cafes and ice cream shops, yum! If anyone has any suggestions of places to eat, shop or sight see, comment below!

Yesterday I brought out my favourite denims shorts for the first time this year! I'm so glad I invested in One Teaspoon shorts and I will definitely buy more! I love all of their denims pieces, their cute knitwear and basic tees. But to be honest, my next purchase is probably going to be another pair of shorts in a different shade because they are such great quality and a great fit. Their sizes run bigger so I would suggest to go a size or two down, but remember the style is slouchy and casual!

Chunky platforms wedges are a must this summer! These are perfect for city breaks (they're coming to Amsterdam with me), at the beach and pool parties. These Topshop wedges aren't online anymore but they are available in store and I'm sure they will be restocked online soon. I've linked above the tan alternatives which will look so nice with a deep tan. If you can't wait for the Topshop ones, check out a similar style from Pull & Bear here and ALDO here

JANE LARIAT NECKLACE

This Melinda Maria snake necklace is to die for! It's perfect for special occasions or to jazz up a casual look. I love wearing lots of striking jewellery with basic looks like a plain white Tee and denims - it gives an effortless but chic vibe.  Many of you will remember the amazing Melinda Maria crystal drop earring I wore to the UK Blog Awards final (if not check them out here). They have a huge selection of statement and delicate pieces and I can't wait to share more of their jewellery in my looks!
