CALIFORNIA GIRL

The past two weeks I've been battling deadlines and now it's straight into studying for my exams so it was nice to receive the exciting news I've been dreaming of! I've been accepted to study fashion at California State University, Long Beach! After going on holiday to Laguna 2 years ago, I fell into the healthy, beach lifestyle within a couple of days (after passing the jet lag of course). I feel in hotter weather its much easier to maintain a healthy diet especially somewhere like California where there are endless healthy food stop options so I'm really looking forward to that.

Long Beach is only 40 minutes away from LA so I'll be going from the beach to the city all the time. Of course, I'll be blogging my time there so you'll all be coming with me virtually! I've already planned out different landmarks, boutiques and restaurants I want to visit (time to cure my never ending Pinkberry craving). Some boutiques I can't wait to get to are the Nasty Gal store, Anine Bing and of course I'll be hitting Rodeo Drive and The Grove!

Roll on August, time to become a California girl!

Keeping it casual in grey tones and a leather mini skirt. The first sign of sun and bare legs it is! These sunny days have got me so excited for summer, even though it's still pretty cold here in Glasgow. This short sleeved sweater was perfect to keep me cosy, comfortable but still stylish.

Statement cuffs and necklaces can make a huge difference to any casual outfits. This cuff is actually a tribal necklace (Zara, old season) wrapped around my wrist!  Dylan Lex jewellery is my all time favourite for oversized pieces. Their necklaces (here), cuffs (here) and rings (here) always look striking on. I can't even pick my favourite styles because I love them all, what do you guys think?
