CITY OF ANGELS

Time to hit DTLA for my first shoot in America! I tested with the amazing Robby Mueller in his cool studio style apartment in the centre of down town. Can I have an apartment in DT?! I've decided to share another part of my life - Modelling! I'm currently signed with Colours Agency in Glasgow with the hope of getting signed in more cities. I've added a new page to the blog to feature my portfolio so check out the images from my test shoot in LA and my other shoots here! After shooting, I met up with friends for avo toast and iced tea at Ledlow before heading to The Broad museum.

BUT FIRST COFFEE...

Time to head back to LB in traffic as usual, but first coffee! We stopped by Alfred Coffee in Silver Lake...One iced latte with coconut milk please! Alfred is totally what it's cracked up to be, calling all coffee lovers (Alfred Tea for all the tea obsessed freaks like me) you need to get this place on your California bucket list!

It's funny how a style can go from being a no go to a hit in a matter of months! A few years ago I wouldn't dream of wearing fish nets and now I'm loving them! Under ripped jeans, with shorts you name it, I love it! Be prepared to see these babies a lot more often.

PC DAYS

An impulse trip back to my favourite place in the whole wide world, California, was well overdue after only leaving in December. I went over to surprise all of my friends I made on my semester abroad who have become my best friends! It's really hard living across the world from some of the most important people in my life, but it only makes the time with them that bit more special!

Everyone loves a simple leather skirt to pair with almost anything so recently I've been searching for leather with more detail like this Nasty Gal one. I first saw this style on Rat & Boa but sadly, it was sold out (back in stock now, get it whilst you can!). Rat & Boa have the cutest summer dress and bikinis too with a super badass vibe, check it out here.

The first sight of sun and my bestie, Hannah & I hit Pacific City in Huntington for lunch at Lemonade and shopping! We returned to some of our favourite spots like Philz Coffee for the famous mojito iced coffee and Pop Bar (my absolutely favourite) for popsicles dipped in chocolate and toppings.

Embroidered tees are a new obsession of mine, they're so cute! Topshop has a few different styles these ones - here, here and here. Urban Outfitters and Brandy Melville also always design cool graphic/ embroidered tees for those jeans, T-shirt and sneaker days.

SWEATER WEATHER

Just trying to get used to this FREEZING weather again after getting back from California! I must admit, the constant sunshine had the most amazing affect on my daily mood; I miss the proactive feeling of living in the sun! Although, I did miss shopping for proper Autumn/Winter clothes like leather trousers, boots and chunky knits like this amazing oversized mohair sweater from H&M I spotted on one of my style icons Missé Beqiri. Her style is always on point with lots of leather, bodysuits and bomber jackets – the perfect inspo for a girls’ night in the city.  She wore this sweater as a dress, which I can’t wait to try in my own way! Usually I try to steer clear of H&M for knit wear as I don’t really like the fit on me however all pieces are made different so I always try on. You can always find a diamond in the rough like this sweater!

A lot of you have been asking and obsessing over my new hat - isn’t it AMAZING?! When I saw this on the Uterqüe website (it was sold out…you all know the heart ach) I was determined to get my hands on it! I love the autumnal coloured feathers; they add something special to simple winter look. It took awhile to come back into stock so just keep checking the site, I’ll keep my finger crossed for you all! If you can’t get the hat, here are some alternatives I love - Topshop Grey Fedora, Brixton Fringe Fedora & Maison Michel Navy Fedora. One of my new years resolutions is to buy only things I need and more unique items. Basically, I’m bored of buying basics and I’m ready to be more adventurous with my style…so watch this space and let me know what you think, your opinions me a lot to me!

NEW KICKS

Coming into the New Year with a new pair of kicks I got for Christmas. After seeing these Golden Goose beauties on two of my favourite bloggers Julie Sariñana (Sincerely Jules) and Arielle Charnas (Something Navy) I instantly knew they were the next pair to add to my collection. I like to make a statement with my shoes and accessories and these do just that! It’s great to have simple styles but life is too short, buy the crazy shoes. Golden Goose has the cutest, shabby chic styles all with a worn out design which means there's no need to scuffy up your crisp new shoes! I love how they have so many designs like these black printed calfskin sneakers (here), the embellished heel sneakers (here) or just classic white (here). I can see myself building my own little Golden Goose family!
